I think I've got a good story or two. [Though he has to frown a little and hold his chin in his hand in thought. He honestly hasn't heard that many ghost stories... Hmmm...]

Well...

There was once this woman who lived in a snowy town. She was respected and loved, and she had a really nice family. She couldn't find any reason to leave that place.

But something kept calling her. Sometimes, when the wind blew, she could hear the sound of someone crying. It was quiet, but it always seemed to come from the mountains. She ignored it for years, but on her thirtieth birthday, she couldn't wait any longer. She gathered her warmest clothes and headed out to the mountains, where she knew the crying was coming from.

And? what happened next?

Hold on, I'm getting there! [There have to be suspenseful pauses and all!]

It was freezing up there, way more than she thought it would be. It was hard to see with all the snow, and hard to think with how cold it was. But she still heard the crying, and she heard it come closer.

Every time she looked around, though, she couldn't find who was crying.

But when she kept walking? She heard this crunching of snow behind her, like something was following her. Something told her she shouldn't turn around, that if she did, something terrible would happen to her. The crying got louder, and the crunching did too, and she was so frantic and out of her mind that she cried out and turned around -

And? And?

... No one knows what happened. Her family looked for her the next day, and all they found were the clothes she wore and took with her. She never came back.

But some people say that if they listen hard enough? They can hear crying from the mountains... from two people.

And if you ever go to the mountains, and you hear wind that sounds kind of like that? Don't follow it.

...It wasn't really scary. Actually, it's kind of a sad story.

Well, it's not true anyway.

Besides, it's scary if you live near mountains. They get that kind of wind all the time.

What was it like?

It was really tough to fight. It took all six of us to take it down! It looked like this... giant, dark skeleton. He kept talking about how he was a lost soul trapped by... something unfulfilled.

It was pretty scary, too. He didn't even go away for a while.

...You were able to fight off a ghost?

Yeah. He possessed this sword, and with that, he took on a physical form. Don't ask me how it works... I ended up taking the sword with me, so that it wouldn't be used like that anymore. I thought maybe he could finally rest after that.
