There's this one redhead, who's walking around the village as if he was looking for someone. He doesn't really seem lost, but judging from clothes he's wearing, he's obviously new here.

After a moment of searching though, he scratches the back of his head and makes a thoughtful look. It seems he won't find his friends here. But they're okay for sure, so there's nothing to worry.

And so, instead, Mao turns around and walks up to the first person he sees.]}

Ya might hafta dig around for them a bit. I'm not sure how this place is organized. What do they look like?

...Like, uh, sticks with handles?

[ He goes a few paces away to start looking there. They do sound a little strange as a weapon, but that only makes Firo more eager to see them in action. ]

You'll hafta show me how they work once we find 'em.

Well, it's not guaranteed that they'll be here...

[ He probably should have put more emphasis on that earlier. ]

Just keep lookin', there's a lotta stuff here for it to be buried under.

_{[Mao's looking, looking... Oh hey, that's...!]}

[ Firo bounds over, excited to finally see these things. ]

_{[Mao swings his tonfa a few times, then turns to Firo with a grin.]}

So? What do you think about them?

They look pretty neat. ...A little like those nightsticks the bulls carry around but you hold 'em different.

[ When Mao stops swinging them, Firo'll reach out to touch one. ]

_{[there Firo, you can even borrow them for a moment, if you want. But only for a moment.]}

It's another kinda weapon.

[ He smiles as he tests their weight, and then he hands them back to Mao. ]

How good are you with these?

_{[he laughs a bit.]}

But before that, you should find a place to stay. The apartments here are free, or you can stay at the Visitor's Center until you find somewhere.

...I see. Well, I guess I'll stay at that Visitor's Center for now.

_{[he's kind of tired already.]}

Ya want me to show you the way?

Yeah. _{[he smiles.]} Could you?

[ Firo turns to leave the store and waits for Mao before exiting. ]

[ The Welcome Center isn't far and it doesn't take them long to arrive there. Firo props the door open. ]

There's a buncha' friendly people workin' here. They'll help you get settled in. Think you'll be alright?
